Celebrating a magical launch with warmth, wonder, and the spirit of storytelling.
The Perfect Venue
The launch of *The Legend of Blackwick* in November at CC’s coffee shop in Beeville was nothing short of enchanting. The warm, rustic décor of cozy wooden tables, greenery draped on the walls, and flickering candles created a setting that breathed fantasy, perfectly mirroring the atmosphere of the Blackwick series.
Magical Touches
A special thank you goes to Criste Bleibdrey, who delighted guests with her custom drink creations like the Mena House Iced Coffee and Mermaid Lagoon. These imaginative drinks were a nod to the magical worlds within Blackwick, adding an extra layer of whimsy to the event.
Meeting New Readers
One of the most touching moments was meeting a young middle schooler who was drawn in by the event banner. Her immediate excitement for *The Legend of Blackwick* and her desire to purchase both Book 1 and Book 2 reminded me of the joy stories bring to new generations.
Grateful for Friends
Friends, old and new, came together to celebrate. From former students, now thriving in their careers, to new connections, this launch was more than a book event—it was a reunion of hearts. I am grateful to everyone who took the time to share their stories and love of reading with me.
TikTok Celebration
Beyond the local festivities, the excitement extended online with the *Block Party Team* on TikTok. Authors like Julia Heart and Elisa Ann Pratt shared their enthusiasm for the Blackwick series, showing the incredible power of indie author communities. The virtual live event hosted by Keri Marino was another unforgettable highlight, bringing together friends and fans in a celebration of creativity and connection.
Heartfelt Thanks
My deepest gratitude goes to Crystal and Terry, who joined the launch despite difficult personal news. Their presence brought warmth and inspiration. A special thanks to Aislynn, Amanda, and Tirzah for their enthusiastic contributions during the live event. You all made the night unforgettable.
Holiday Reflection
As we approach the holidays, I am reminded of the message in *It’s a Wonderful Life*:
“We may feel alone, but we never know how many lives we’ve touched.”
This book launch was a testament to that truth—a celebration of connection, community, and storytelling magic.
